How to Plan for a Perfect Cyprus Vacation

The boom in the Cyprus tourist industry shows no signs of slowing down with a 14.5 percent increase of visitors in 2018 and experiencing record numbers of tourists to the island during the last three years. This stunning island located in the Mediterranean has an abundance of crystal clear water beaches, pine forest mountain regions, historical architecture and warm, local hospitality suitable for all kinds of travelers and budgets. There are numerous reasons to visit Cyprus so it’s no surprise that more people are choosing it as a perfect destination to have a dream holiday here. If you’re planning a trip to Cyprus, here’s some essential tips to help you.

Research and budget

The key to ensuring any successful trip is all in the planning and getting all the preparations underway before you set off. Setting a realistic vacation budget within your means is a good place to start and will help to determine what kind of holiday in Cyprus you can afford. Try and increase your credit rating well in advance as it can take time to get your finances back on track so take advantage of score boosting initiatives and credit repair companies. On average, the cost of living in Cyprus is relatively cheap, regardless of the budget you have.

North or South?

Cyprus is divided into the distinctive regions of north and south and both areas offer miles of fabulous beaches. Much of the south attracts more of the package holiday travelers while the north is better for hiking in the Kyrenia mountain range and for undeveloped beaches, head east toward the point of Karpaz Peninsula. Although Cyprus is independent, you’ll find that the South uses the Greek language and in the North, natives speak Turkish with a time difference of an hour between both sides.

Things to do

Whether you’re traveling solo, as a romantic couple or with your family, there’s no shortage of different holiday options and things to do in Cyprus. When you feel like visiting the 6000 year old city of Larnaca with its unique architecture or roaming around the 2000 year ancient ruins of Paphos, you’re never too far from the pristine beaches and water sport activities. You don’t necessarily have to hire a car as traveling between destinations with local buses is easy to navigate and help you see as much of the island as possible during your trip.

From partying to festivals or mountains to sea, planning your perfect holiday in Cyprus will be full of unforgettable memories to cherish until the next time you return.
